Kochi (formerly Cochin) is a vibrant port city in Kerala, India, known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea" for its natural harbor and rich spice trade history, blending colonial charm (Portuguese, Dutch, British) with modern dynamism, featuring stunning backwaters, beaches, diverse cultures, and serving as Kerala's commercial hub with significant IT, manufacturing, and maritime industries, all centered around its historic Fort Kochi area and bustling Ernakulam mainland.

RETREAT FLOW
 
Day 1 – Arrival & Immersion in Fort Kochi
Arrive and checkin · Meet fellow artists · We begin our 4-day art retreat with a leisurely walk through the charming lanes of Fort Kochi.

Day 2 – Art Afloat in Alleppey Backwaters
Step onto a traditional boat and drift gently through Kerala’s iconic backwaters. Our art session unfolds right on the boat, with the backwaters as our studio. 

Day 3 – Creating, Culture & Living Traditions
Mattancherry Exploration · Riverside Dining ·
Kochi-Muziris Biennale · Kathakali Performance

Day 4 – Relax and Unwind
Final art session · Broadway · Farewell walk & goodbyes

Pragya is an introvert at heart, quietly observant, yet fiercely expressive when she creates or travels.
Painting and journeys are her way of seeing the world, each experience unfolding into colour, story, and meaning.
This fusion of art and exploration gave birth to The Itchy Boots, a space where creativity meets discovery.

Through thoughtfully curated art retreats, she invites others to slow down, create deeply, and connect with both nature and self.
